Zac Brown got kinda wild in an interview earlier this week.. All over the new tune "That's My Kinda Night" by his "friend" Luke Bryan.
“There’s not a lot of the country format that I really enjoy listening to,” he told a Vancouver radio station.. “If I hear one more tailgate in the moonlight, daisy duke song, I wanna throw up. There’s songs out there on the radio right now that make me ashamed to be even in the same format as some other artist.”
“I love Luke Bryan and he’s had some great songs,” Zac said, “but this new song is the worst song I’ve ever heard.
“I see it being giant commercially, successful within what is called country music these days, but I also feel like that the people deserve something better than that.”
He later took to Twitter to say "My opinion is not about Luke as an artist, it's about that song. He didn't write it. I'm a fan of Luke, but definitely not that song."
I mean.. I know he's passionate about the music but come on man.. You can't bash one of the BIGGEST rising stars in Country Music and not expect any backlash! Jason Aldean and Justin Moore have already publicly disagreed with Zac’s comments and I'm certain this isn't gonna be a dead subject anytime soon.. Lookout!
