Blake Shelton is coming back for his fifth season as a judge on NBC's popular reality singing competition, The Voice. According to Taste Of Country, the network has confirmed that Shelton will return along with original judges Adam Levine of Maroon 5, Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green. Although Blake had hinted last fall that he was thinking of vacating his big red chair after this past season, he'll be back.
He'll kick off his Ten Times Crazier tour on July 19th in Virginia Beach.
Jake Owen had to think fast when his pants split wide open while performing in Charleston, South Carolina on Friday (May 17th). The singer was bending down to say hello to a fan in the audience when the seams in his jeans came undone. He tried to cover himself by threading his white T-shirt through the open areas, which wound up looking a bit like a diaper.
After the show, Jake tweeted:
Charleston, SC will never be forgotten. My jeans ripped on stage tonight. Going commando=bad idea. Although, great breeze here. Coastal town— Jake Owen (@jakeowen) May 18, 2013
He later had some more fun with the situation tweeting:
Tonight was totally "nuts" in Charleston.— Jake Owen (@jakeowen) May 18, 2013
as well as:
I really gave it my all tonight and let it all hang out.— Jake Owen (@jakeowen) May 18, 2013
Tim McGraw stopped his recent concert in Atlanta to come to the aid of a woman in the crowd. Paula Whitten was in the first few rows at Tim's Two Lanes of Freedomtour stop at Aarons Amphitheatre when she began feeling faint. She sat down, but collapsed when she stood back up.
McGraw saw what was going on and jumped into the crowd to make sure the concert-goer was okay. Whitten told a local radio station that McGraw handed her a bottle of water and stayed with her. She said, "He was talking to me and talking to the medics to try to get me up."
Medics chalked up Whitten's fainting spell to the extreme heat in the pit area in front of the stage.
McGraw's Two Lanes of Freedom tour with Brantley Gilbert and Love and Theft continues on Thursday (May 23rd) in St. Louis.
