(WENN) - Country star Dierks Bentley was forced to postpone his first concert in a decade due to a serious family illness.
The singer was scheduled to hit the stage for a free concert in Washington, D.C. on Saturday before the Washington Nationals baseball game against the Atlanta Braves. Big & Rich stepped in to take his place.
Details regarding who is ill and what ails them have not been revealed.
A statement from Bentley's management reads, "This it the 1st show we've had to reschedule in 10 years, and we hate having to do it. We will do everything we can to get back to DC soon. THANK YOU for your support and understanding while Dierks spends needed time with his family."
